The Institute publishes its Communication Plan 2025-2030
A roadmap to strengthen Biosistemak’s institutional identity, scientific visibility and social impact.
The Biosistemak Institute has published its 2025-2030 Communication Plan on its website, a strategic document drawn up by the Institute’s Communication Department with the aim of consolidating Biosistemak as a benchmark in applied research and the transformation of healthcare systems.
This plan defines the roadmap for the next five years, aligned with the Institute’s Strategic Plan 2020-2024, and sets out the priorities, audiences, channels and actions necessary to strengthen institutional identity, maximise scientific visibility and enhance the social impact of research activity.
A plan based on analysis and participation
The Plan was drawn up on the basis of a rigorous analysis of the Institute’s current communication situation, which included an internal staff survey, a benchmarking exercise with 33 Basque research centres, a review of digital indicators and a strategic SWOT analysis.
This process has made it possible to identify strengths, areas for improvement and opportunities to optimise communication channels and strengthen Biosistemak’s institutional projection in the Basque BIO ecosystem and at the national and international levels.
Three pillars for comprehensive communication
The 2025-2030 Communication Plan is structured around three main areas of action:
- Offline communication: includes face-to-face and institutional actions, such as scientific conferences, collaborations with other BIO institutes (Biogipuzkoa, Bioaraba, Biobizkaia, BIOEF) and activities with associations and citizen groups.
- Online communication: reinforces digital presence through the website, social networks, electronic newsletters and multimedia materials, with the aim of improving the dissemination of results and interaction with target audiences.
- Institutional relations and public outreach: promotes collaboration with the media and entities within the Basque healthcare system, as well as participation in outreach initiatives such as Emakumeak Zientzian, Zientzia Astea and EITB Maratoia.
The document also incorporates an inclusive communication framework, aimed at ensuring accessibility, diversity and equitable representation in all of the Institute’s messages.
In addition, it includes a six-monthly evaluation system, which will allow the impact of actions to be reviewed and the strategy to be adapted to emerging challenges and new communication needs.
The 2025-2030 Communication Plan is available for consultation on the Biosistemak website, in the ‘Documents of interest’ section.
