We are launching a new section of our website dedicated to Research Groups

The space offers detailed information about the teams, their lines of work and professional profiles.

This May, the Biosistemak Institute has launched a new section on its website, accessible from the main menu and through the Research Groups section, dedicated to its research teams. This initiative seeks to give visibility to the people who carry out research at the Institute, bring science closer to society and humanise scientific work.

The Research Groups are the basic units of research at Biosistemak. They are made up of in-house or affiliated staff who, regardless of their institution of origin, share scientific affinities and carry out their activities under the direction of the Principal Investigator responsible for each group. Each group is defined by a specific theme and operates within one of the Institute’s research areas.

Detailed information and access to researchers

This section includes six active groups, each with a detailed file offering a brief description of their lines of research and contact information for the Principal Investigator and other research staff. These files include links to the professional profiles of all members (Virtual Health Library, ORCID, LinkedIn), their position, workplace and photograph, thus facilitating the identification and understanding of the research team.

The groups and their areas are:

  • Digital health: use of information and communication technologies to improve prevention, diagnosis, treatment and health management.
  • Reuse of healthcare practice data: generation of complementary evidence from real data collected in routine healthcare practice.
  • Health services: analysis and evaluation of healthcare processes and outcomes, and development of tools for clinical and management decision-making.
  • Value-based care: management of healthcare systems connecting health and economic outcomes, benchmarking and value-based financing models.
  • Implementation: effective large-scale transfer of effective healthcare interventions to real-world settings.
  • Healthcare services for chronic diseases: development of predictive models, tools to assess quality of life and application of qualitative techniques and advanced statistics in chronic diseases.

With this new section, Biosistemak reinforces its commitment to transparency and collaboration, showcasing the human talent behind the research and promoting greater engagement between science, professionals and society.
