On 7 November 2019 the <\/em>Health Evaluation and Quality Agency of Catalonia, AQuAS, in Barcelona was the chosen site to hold this event. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Under the title “Towards research that impacts society<\/em>“, the session focused on the impact that research has on our society and the tools that enable us to improve it. Dr. Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Quintana<\/strong>\u00a0L\u00f3pez<\/strong>, Scientific Coordinator of the network and head of the Research Unit of Barrualde-Galdakao IHO was responsible for the<\/strong> welcoming and opening address. The round table \u201cWho can and how can we improve the impact of research?\u201d addressed the need to disseminate and share the results of a project and how to transform the conclusions of a project in solutions that adapt to reality. The session was further complemented with the organisation of several workshops, that focused on working on the impact from different perspectives: the PIPA tool (\u201cParticipatory Impact Pathway Approach<\/em>\u201d); how to prepare the impact section of a European project; mapping of key players to impact research; and lastly, the workshop on impacting narratives.<\/p>\n

REDISSEC<\/strong> aims to develop excellence in research and innovation fields to provide solid relevant evidence on the best policies, practices and organisational models, to contribute to the improvement of healthcare for chronic patients in Spain.<\/p>\n

The network is built around three major pillars: the management of chronicity; the need to have more and better information; and the duty of increasing the research capacity in healthcare services and policies in Spain. It consists of 14 research teams<\/strong> and 3 clinical teams<\/strong> from the 8 autonomous regions . 150 researchers from different bodies, including hospitals as well as primary care centres, technology assessment agencies or regional healthcare departments make up this network.<\/p>\n
