From 19 to 24 October, the headquarters of \u201cTechnopolis City of Athens\u201d in Athens, was the chosen location for the new edition of the eHealth Forum. <\/em><\/h2>\n

\"\"The conference is an annual meeting point for health professionals, managers, researchers, management teams, social and healthcare representatives, and technological companies alike. This year\u2019s mission was the search of means to involve all of the stakeholders and the general public in the use of new technologies for healthcare and medicine. The overall goal was to seek digital innovation in healthcare.<\/p>\n

For six days they organised 58 sessions, six workshops, 9 tutorials, and one \u201cDatathon<\/em>\u201d, a fun, creative, and innovative challenge to improve the analysis of all types of data. A comprehensive programme that dealt with different issues such as patient-generated data, data security,\u00a0 patient’s storytelling, integrated care, assisted living, Big Data and interoperability, among others.<\/p>\n

In this sense, Ane Fullaondo Zabala<\/strong>, Head of the R&D Coordination at Kronikgune<\/strong>, was one of the participants at the workshop on the MAST method<\/strong>, a health technology assessment model including telemedicine and social integration services, held on Friday, 20 October 2017. The lecture \u201cPatients\u2019 Perspective\u201d showed how the MAST<\/strong> model allowed to define the evaluation framework of the Carewell<\/strong> European project, focusing on the implementation of a new integrated healthcare pathway for multimorbid patients. It seeks to empower the patients and\/or caregivers and monitor the patients at home through technology and coordination between professionals. Specifically, they described the qualitative tools used to assess the perception of patients and\/or caregivers, the positive results obtained and how these provided sufficient evidence for policy makers to decide to continue scaling-up this pathway throughout the Basque Country.<\/p>\n
