The project\u2019s budget is \u20ac2,263,144 and will last 60 months.<\/p>\n<p>Its key aim is to improve regional policies to support the ecosystem (public authorities, industry, academia and society) to create knowledge and deploy innovative health and care solutions to benefit European citizens. <strong>ITHACA <\/strong>also aims to do the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design a tool to evaluate regional policies and ecosystems in connection with the innovation cycle.<\/li>\n<li>Create a framework strategy for the development and improvement of regional policies and programmes based on evidence and co-design methodologies.<\/li>\n<li>Define nine regional action plans to facilitate the implementation of regional policy tools.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Liverpool region hosted the consortium\u2019s second event from 3 to 5 April. During this event attendees exchanged experiences and carried out an evaluation to highlight lessons they have learnt and to suggest improvements (Peer Evaluation &#8211; EEPE).<\/p>\n<p>Over two days the members of the project were able to get to know the strategy and political context of the Liverpool region regarding innovation. They also explored in depth several different innovative collaboration and co-creation experiences, as well as eHealth cluster activities and specific examples of smart health and care solutions (apps, serious games, analytical tools, telehealth, etc.) created in this region.<\/p>\n<p>The consortium\u2019s meeting ended with a session in which attendees shared with the team the conclusions of the evaluation conducted during the exchange.
