This event showcased all the research activities which had been carried out in Bidasoa IHO in recent years. <\/em><\/p>\n

On 16th March 2017, Bidasoa Hospital hosted the 1st Bidasoa IHO Research and Innovation Conference<\/strong>. The event gave centre stage to\u00a0health professionals<\/strong>,\u00a0social stakeholders<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0management teams <\/strong>of the projects and Good Practices in this organisation.<\/p>\n

It was attended by Kronikgune <\/strong>which presented the \u201cBidasoatik Mundura, Sasoi Erronka\u201d <\/strong>programme, implemented as part of the European Pre-Start<\/strong> project. An opportunity to show the programme implemented in 10 schools in Irun<\/strong> and Hondarribia <\/strong>during the<\/strong> academic year 2015-2016. The purpose of this project was to assess the effectiveness of a school campaign to encourage healthy lifestyle habits among 12 to 14 year olds.<\/p>\n

The \u201cBidasoatik Mundura, Sasoi Erronka<\/strong>\u201d programme addressed the following issues: physical activity<\/strong>,\u00a0healthy eating<\/strong> and creativity. <\/strong>Aimed at over 1,500 students in 10 local schools, this initiative recorded high participation figures, averaging 60% in all activities organised.\u00a0It is worth highlighting the use of Basque as lingua franca for project organisation and execution.<\/p>\n

The project design and launching was carried out by a local network <\/strong>in the Bidasoa region. <\/strong>This network is made up of different bodies such as: Bidasoa IHO – Osakidetza, Department of Education<\/strong>, Councils of Irun and Hondarribia<\/strong>, Public Health and Addictions<\/strong>, different community associations <\/strong>and Kronikgune<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
