<span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/sarahbc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sarah Berrocoso<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, Doctor of Psychology, researcher and European project manager (11 February); and <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ania-gorostiza\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ania Gorostiza<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, mathematician, data scientist and biostatistician (13 February).<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"3 voces cient\u00edficas para despertar vocaciones \u2013 Itxaso Alayo (V\u00eddeo 1\/3)\" width=\"1350\" height=\"759\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1-g1qGSeyCw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h3>New initiatives in 2026: female leadership and empowerment<\/h3>\n<p>Throughout 2026, Biosistemak will continue its work on equality by organising sessions on <strong>female empowerment and leadership<\/strong>, as well as feminist breakfasts, designed as spaces for reflection, dialogue and collective learning.<\/p>\n<p>The female empowerment and leadership sessions will be aimed at strengthening the personal and professional skills of women in the organisation, promoting confidence, the visibility of female talent and leadership from an inclusive perspective. For their part, the feminist breakfasts are intended to be informal and participatory spaces for the exchange of experiences, joint reflection and analysis of challenges related to equality in the field of research and the workplace.<\/p>\n<h3>Language as a tool for equality<\/h3>\n<p>Finally, the Institute&#8217;s commitment to equality in science is also reflected in the way we communicate. In December 2025, we published an <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bio-sistemak.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Manual-Lenguaje-Inclusivo-ES.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inclusive Language Manual<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, a practical tool that establishes the principles that guide communication and professional relationships within the organisation.<\/p>\n<p>It is a visual infographic, which includes simple guidelines aimed at integrating more open language into scientific and institutional communication and everyday life, promoting a culture based on respect, equity and diversity.<\/p>\n<p>This document is available on our website and forms part of the actions included in the <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bio-sistemak.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Plan-de-Igualdad_Instituto-Kronikgune-2022-26.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biosistemak Equality Plan 2022\u20132026<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, consolidating language as a key element in building more equal relationships in the field of research.<\/p>\n<p>With this set of actions\u2014which combine inspiration, communication and training\u2014Biosistemak promotes a more conscious and inclusive organisational culture that is aligned with the values of public research and scientific
