by the third sector<\/h1>\n<h4>The meeting, held on 6 February, brought together professionals from different fields linked to the evaluation of health policies and services.<\/h4>\n<p>On 6 February 2026, the <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/fccee.ugr.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences of the University of Granada<\/a><\/strong><\/span> hosted the<span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aes.es\/evaluaes\/taller_evaluaes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> 15th EvaluAES Workshop on Research in Health Policy and Service Evaluation<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, an annual meeting organised by the <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aes.es\/evaluaes\/presentacion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EvaluAES Group<\/a><\/strong><\/span> of the <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aes.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Health Economics Association (AES)<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and coordinated by Biosistemak, which brought together professionals from the academic, health, social and public management fields.<\/p>\n<p><a 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aes.es\/docs\/xv-taller-evaluaes-programa.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">programme for the 15th EvaluAES Workshop<\/a><\/strong><\/span> included the presentation of <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bio-sistemak.eus\/xiv-taller-evaluaes-santander-acoge-una-edicion-marcada-por-la-multidisciplinariedad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">six evaluative research papers<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, following the characteristic format of the meeting, in which each article is presented by its author and commented on by a leading expert.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the day, issues of great relevance to public health and healthcare systems were addressed, such as the determinants of the success of community programmes aimed at <strong>people in situations of social exclusion<\/strong>, the role of institutional protection against <strong>health risks associated with heat waves<\/strong>, the efficiency of <strong>primary care and teleconsultation<\/strong>, and the evaluation of <strong>prioritisation strategies in <\/strong>surgical <strong>waiting lists<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bio-sistemak.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/20260206_082622808_iOS.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19725 size-fusion-600\" 2560w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Multidisciplinary exchange and participation of the third sector<\/h3>\n<p>This year&#8217;s workshop placed special emphasis on the <strong>participation of the third sector<\/strong>, incorporating the experience of social organisations such as <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.medicosdelmundo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">M\u00e9dicos del Mundo<\/a><\/strong><\/span> (Doctors of the World) and highlighting the role of evaluation as a key tool for improving the impact, transparency and accountability of social interventions with an impact on health.<\/p>\n<p>This perspective was integrated into a context of <strong>thematic and methodological diversity<\/strong>, with the participation of universities, research centres and organisations from the health and social sectors from different parts of the country, promoting multidisciplinary exchange between diverse academic and professional profiles.<\/p>\n<p>The closing ceremony featured speeches by <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/borjagarcialorenzo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Borja Garc\u00eda-Lorenzo<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, principal investigator of <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bio-sistemak.eus\/grupo-de-investigacion-atencion-basada-en-el-valor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Biosistemak Value-Based Care Research Group<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and coordinator of the EvaluAES group, and <strong>M\u00f3nica Maure Rico<\/strong>, from the <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.juntadeandalucia.es\/organismos\/sanidadpresidenciayemergencias.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Regional Ministry of Health of the Regional Government of Andalusia<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and member of the Scientific Organising Committee. Both highlighted the importance of continuing to promote meeting spaces that connect evaluative research with public policy
