A total of 50 representatives from 13 countries, working on 25 pilot projects, took part.<\/p>\n<p>The main objective of the event was to share the progress, achievements and lessons learned during the first 18 months of <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bio-sistemak.eus\/jacardi-project-cardiovascular-disease-diabetes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JACARDI<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, as well as to learn first-hand about the progress of each of the projects underway.<\/p>\n<h3>Leadership and support for the pilots from Biosistemak<\/h3>\n<p>Our researcher, <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/iratierreguerena\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Irati Erreguerena<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, presented the main milestones achieved and reviewed the reports and resources available to the pilot teams. The agenda included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Presentations on the progress made by the 25 pilot teams.<\/li>\n<li>Interactive workshops on key stakeholder involvement, programme design and evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>A specific session on collaboration between the communication (WP2) and health literacy (WP6) work packages to increase the visibility and impact of the interventions.<\/li>\n<li>Practical tools and metrics to improve communication, behaviour change and the adaptation of messages to diverse audiences, from healthcare professionals to vulnerable populations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Through this work package, JACARDI is moving from awareness to real commitment, through co-designed, data-driven strategies tailored to each local context to improve health literacy in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Irati, together with P\u00e9ter Kirsch, from the Gottsegen National Cardiovascular Centre (Hungary), led the communication sessions, presenting the lessons learned from recent workshops and the results of a questionnaire on the practices, challenges and needs of the pilot teams, which are key to maximising the impact of interventions.<\/p>\n<h3>Biosistemak&#8217;s ongoing commitment<\/h3>\n<p>This meeting follows on from the work carried out at the <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bio-sistemak.eus\/biosistemak-asiste-a-la-reunion-presencial-del-comite-ejecutivo-de-jacardi-en-budapest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JACARDI Executive Committee meeting in Budapest<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, where Biosistemak presented the progress made in WP6 and reinforced European collaboration to improve cardiovascular health and disease prevention.<\/p>\n<p>The Joint Action on Cardiovascular Diseases and Diabetes (JACARDI) seeks to reduce the burden of these diseases in the European Union, both at the individual and population levels.<\/p>\n<p>As an affiliated entity representing the Basque Country, Biosistemak plays a strategic role: it co-leads the health literacy package (WP6) and is responsible for key tasks in communication and dissemination (WP2), implementation science (WP5) and integrated care pathways
