We contribute our research experience to the Breast Cancer Conference<\/h1>\n

The event was attended by I\u00f1aki Guti\u00e9rrez-Ibarluzea, Director of Health Research, Innovation and Evaluation, and Ane Fullaondo, Scientific Director of the Institute, among others.<\/h4>\n

On 20 May, the BIC Bizkaia Ezkerraldea <\/a><\/strong><\/span>(Barakaldo) was the setting for the Breast Cancer Conference<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, a benchmark event organised by the Spanish Society of Health Managers (SEDISA) <\/a><\/strong><\/span>and Euskadiko Osasun Kudeatzaileen Elkartea (EOKE)<\/strong>. The conference brought together around 70 attendees, including healthcare professionals, managers, researchers and institutional representatives, consolidating this forum as a key space for the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the approach to breast cancer.<\/p>\n

The conference addressed the most topical issues, from therapeutic advances and diagnostic innovation to the importance of multidisciplinary coordination and humanisation in treatment. The event was attended by top-level speakers, such as Dr. Alberto Mu\u00f1oz <\/a><\/strong><\/span>(Hospital Universitario de Cruces), Dr. Mar\u00eda Vidal <\/a><\/strong><\/span>(Hospital Cl\u00ednic de Barcelona) and Dr. I\u00f1aki Guti\u00e9rrez-Ibarluzea <\/a><\/strong><\/span>(Basque Government), among others.<\/p>\n

Benchmarks in the improvement of healthcare processes<\/h3>\n

One of the highlights was the round table on “Homogenisation of the care process: what do we measure?<\/strong>“, in which Ane Fullaondo<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, Scientific Director of the Biosistemak Institute, contributed the institution’s vision and experience in the continuous improvement of breast cancer care. Fullaondo stressed the importance of rigorous measurement of health outcomes and the application of integrated care models to ensure equity and quality of care throughout the territory.<\/p>\n

The conference highlighted the need to continue promoting research and innovation in breast cancer<\/strong>, as well as strengthening collaboration between the different agents in the health system.<\/p>\n

Biosistemak, as a leading centre for research into healthcare systems in the Basque Country, reaffirms its commitment to improving healthcare processes and generating knowledge that will have an impact on the care of breast cancer patients.<\/p>\n
