Great success for the \u2018Erandio mugitzen ari da!\u2019 party with more than 250 attendees and a wide public participation<\/h1>\n

This health event was held on 7 February in the Merkatu Zaharra in the Biscayan municipality, organised within the framework of the European project Health4EUKids.<\/h4>\n

Health and collaboration were the main themes of the big party held on Friday 7 February at the Merkatu Zaharra in Erandio, as part of the pilot project \u2018Erandio mugitzen aria da!<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u2019, which seeks to promote healthy environments and encourage citizen participation as a driver of social change. More than 250 people, reflecting the community\u2019s interest in and commitment to this initiative attended the event.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Biosistemak, together with the Uribe-Kosta Public Health Region of the Department of Health<\/strong>, is leading this pilot project in the Basque Country, which is part of the Health4EUKids<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/span> programme, a European initiative co-financed by the Health in Early Childhood<\/a><\/strong><\/span> Agency (HaDEA<\/a><\/strong><\/span>). Its main objective is to prevent childhood overweight and obesity through the implementation of actions to improve the lifestyles of children, families and the active community, and to transform social and urban environments with an inclusive approach.<\/p>\n

A step towards a healthier future<\/h3>\n

During the festival, various participatory activities were organised by local associations and key players in the municipality. In total, 90 people actively participated in the prioritisation dynamics, contributing their ideas for building a healthier Erandio. The Merkatu Zaharra<\/strong> became a dynamic space where families and children could enjoy cultural, social and sporting activities designed to encourage active lifestyles.<\/p>\n

In addition, the practical workshops organised during the day attracted 80 participants, who learned about healthy habits and interacted directly with the project’s proposals. On the other hand, the sports activities were very well received, with 200 participants enjoying initiatives that promoted movement and physical activity.<\/p>\n

One of the highlights was the presentation of the Local Health Network in Erandio<\/strong>, which seeks to integrate different local agents (educational, health, social) to ensure that the actions prioritised by the community are developed and implemented in a way that is sustainable in the long term. This network will be key to addressing social inequalities and promoting lasting changes in the physical and social environments of the municipality.<\/p>\n

From Biosistemak together with the Uribe-Kosta Public Health Region of the Department of Health, we would like to thank all the participants for their enthusiasm and involvement. This event has not only been an organisational success, but also an important step towards a healthier future for all generations and our
