In addition, other political priorities, such as defence, migration and EU enlargement, are expected to dominate the political agenda and spending in the coming years. In parallel, health systems face growing challenges such as climate change, economic instability and emerging diseases, underlining the urgent need to find <strong>sustainable financing solutions<\/strong> at EU level to improve the care provided to people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.phssr.org\/eu_expertadvisroygroupsustainablefinancing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PHSSR EU Expert Advisory Group<\/a><\/strong><\/span> works to identify priority policies and develop agreed recommendations to help EU Member States access financing mechanisms that strengthen and make their health systems more resilient. These policies focus on ensuring that health systems not only survive, but also thrive in the face of current and future challenges.<\/p>\n<h3>A look ahead: the policy brief<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This partnership will culminate in the publication of a policy report, due in spring 2025, which will provide practical, consensus-based recommendations on how EU countries can improve the sustainability and resilience of their health systems. This report will be a key tool to ensure that health financing is adequate and aligned with the needs of European populations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Biosistemak<\/strong>, as part of the Advisory Group and representative of <strong>health systems research in the Basque Country<\/strong>, is committed to improving European health systems through research and innovative
