Biosistemak participates in the conference for the deployment of EU4Health in Spain: Improving the comprehensive approach to cancer<\/h1>\n

Ane Fullaondo, Scientific Director, moderated a round table on barriers and facilitators in the future implementation of actions in the field of oncology.<\/h4>\n

On 12 November 2024, Ane Fullaondo<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, Scientific Director of Biosistemak<\/strong> and representing the JANE Joint Action as Competent Authority and Beneficiary, moderated the round table entitled Barriers and Facilitators in the future implementation of the Joint Actions <\/em><\/strong>during the conference Deployment of EU4Health in Spain: Improving the comprehensive approach to cancer<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/span>, held at the Ministry of Health in Madrid.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This event held at national level, which brought together national and international experts, aimed to strengthen the collaboration of entities and health services in the treatment of cancer within the framework of the European EU4Health<\/a><\/strong><\/span> programme, highlighting the progress of the Joint Actions (JA)<\/strong>, in which the Basque Country and Spain play a relevant role. The conference provided a space to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing these projects, both at regional, national and European level.<\/p>\n

Ane Fullaondo<\/strong> moderated a round table with the participation of David de Vicente Baz<\/strong> from the Andalusian Health Service (SAS)<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and Alejandro Piris<\/strong>, from the Vall D’Hebron Hospital<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, who presented their perspectives on the JANE, CRANE and eCAN projects. During the session, the main barriers and facilitators that may influence the implementation of these initiatives, which aim to improve accessibility, integration and quality in cancer treatment, and to improve the care offered to people suffering from this condition, were discussed.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/h3>\n

The future of European collaboration in oncology<\/h3>\n

During the round table moderated by Biosistemak, the solutions to overcome the barriers and challenges in the implementation of these projects were discussed, as well as the steps to follow to ensure their sustainability and their positive European impact. Ane Fullaondo’s presentation also highlighted the progress made in the recently completed JANE project, which has worked on the creation of knowledge networks in different areas for a comprehensive approach to cancer.<\/p>\n

The event also included several additional thematic tables, which addressed the impact of these initiatives on the National Health System (NHS)<\/a><\/span>,<\/strong> the joint actions that are planned to be carried out in Spain within the framework of the EU4H programme and the future of the oncology network that the three Joint Actions (CREANE, JANE and eCAN) want to promote in order to optimise cancer treatment and prevention at a national and international level.<\/p>\n
