Over three days, different areas of Neuroscience will be discussed, including the perspective of patients in all processes. Leading and recognised experts from various relevant entities related to neuroscience will share their knowledge and their work in this field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biosistemak<\/strong> will participate in a round table discussion on 8 June as part of the<strong> \u2018Clinical Frontier &#8211; Advances in Therapies\u2019<\/strong> conference, together with the other presentations:<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLINICAL FRONTIER &#8211; Advances in therapies <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Marc Engelen: Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). From axonal degeneration to clinical trials.<\/li>\n<li>Nathalie Cartier: \u2018Our experience in gene therapies in leukodystrophies\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Ver\u00f3nica Cantar\u00edn and In\u00e9s Sol\u00eds: \u2018Our experience with intrathecal cell therapies with mesenchymal cells in infantile cerebral X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Sara Garc\u00eda Gil Perotin: \u2018Autologous transplantation of haematopoietic precursors in multiple sclerosis: our experience and new perspectives\u2019.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ane Fullaondo: \u2018Value-based medicine\u2019.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Pedro Carrascal: \u2018The patient&#8217;s perspective in relation to the scientific and clinical process\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ane Fullaondo, Scientific Director of Biosistemak<\/strong>, will present the paradigm and new model that is spreading and being integrated into health systems, Value-Based Healthcare. \u00a0This model aims to guide health services in their reorganization towards providing care that focuses on value for the patient at the best cost. It is an innovative strategic framework that focuses on measuring health outcomes of value to patients, organizing care practice around clinical processes or conditions, and costs per patient throughout the process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Value-based Healthcare<\/strong> is a strategic commitment of <strong>Osakidetza<\/strong> and this is reflected in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.euskadi.eus\/contenidos\/informacion\/osk_trbg_planes_programas\/es_def\/adjuntos\/estrategia_valor_es.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018Osakidetza Value Strategy\u2019<\/a> published in 2023<\/strong>.\u00a0 The strategy&#8217;s main objective is to move towards a value-based healthcare system based on integrated, person-centred care. Care which, based on scientific evidence, empowers the patient and enables progress in shared decision-making, based on the patient&#8217;s own clinical results, quality of life and expectations.
