The collaboration, coordinated by the Kronikgune Institute together with the Directorate General of Osakidetza, has contributed to the transfer of knowledge of the Basque Country internationally. <\/em><\/p>\n

A delegation from the Singapore health system made up of representatives from the National Health Service of Singapore<\/strong> including the President and CEO, heads of the Population Health and Integrated Care Board, and managers of Health System Development and Value Based Payment have visited the Basque Country to learn more about the Basque Health System. This visit is a result of the great interest generated the presentation made by Osakidetza at the last edition of the International Congress on Integrated Care, ICIC 2022, where the Osakidetza model of Integrated and Person-Centred Care was presented, among the Singaporean representatives present. It should be noted that Singapore is immersed in the reform of its healthcare system with the aim of implementing an integrated care model focused on tackling chronicity and ageing. The changes and new actions are expected to be implemented from July 2023.\"\"<\/a>For two days, on 6th and 7th<\/sup> of October 2022, visits and working meetings have been organised with the Singaporean delegation in order to raise awareness of Osakidetza’s healthcare organisation, especially the Primary Care strategy, and the system of coordination and integration with the hospital and socio-health areas. The event also served to highlight the results obtained, as well as the changes implemented in the healthcare system in terms of ageing and chronicity, digitalisation, services and new roles of healthcare professionals, especially nurses.<\/p>\n

On the first day, the Singaporean representatives visited the Directorate General of Osakidetza<\/strong> in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The Director of Healthcare together with the Deputy Director of Primary Care were responsible for welcoming them to the event. In addition, to presenting the strategic framework of Osakidetza, the heads of the different services have presented how Primary Care is structured and coordinated and the digitalisation strategy implemented in the system, including the Electronic Health Record, the Electronic Health Folder, or Osanaia platform used by the nursing staff as a tool to collect all the activities, care and monitoring of treatments or patient empowerment programmes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The second day has held in the auditorium of the Bilbao Basurto Integrated Healthcare Organization (IHO)<\/strong>. Two of the care pathways extended in Osakidetza have been presented, such as the integrated care pathway and the pathway for complex, multi-pathological chronic patients. In addition, the Singaporean delegation was able to learn about some of the patient empowerment actions offered by Osakidetza to the public. Heads of Osasun Eskola and Paciente Activo-Paciente Bizia shared the strategy and content offered through their platforms and programmes with the aim of educating and promoting health among the Basque population.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
