Description: <\/strong><\/span><\/span>This initiative addresses the need to improve transparency and the sharing of research results and data, promoting innovation and the development of innovative solutions in the health sector. The objectives of these architectures include both the definition and creation of an institutional repository of open publications, results and data, its management and analysis, and the creation of tools and technologies for visualisation and access.<\/p>\n

This proposal is aligned with the priority areas identified in the Order and the specific areas or fields of RIS3 Euskadi Personalised Health. In particular, it focuses on personalised health, personalised medicine and advanced therapies, medical devices and technologies, digital health and big data, and neurosciences and mental health.<\/p>\n

This initiative will contribute to improving the health and well-being of citizens and to positioning the Basque Country among the most advanced European regions by 2030.<\/p>\n

Objectives:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The RIS3 Euskadi Personalised Health strategy focuses on cooperation and collaboration between different agents, which is in line with the priority areas of OpenData that focus on collaboration between different organisations and individuals to improve the health and well-being of citizens.<\/p>\n

With this objective in mind, a consortium has been set up with the key players in health R&D&I data management: IIS Biobizkaia, IIS Biogipuzkoa, IIS Bioaraba and IIS Biosistemak.<\/p>\n

The BOSD project proposes the development of actions with the collaboration of the Basque Health Research Institutes, supported by other R&D&I agents, with action at different levels:<\/p>\n

1- Design of the Open Access model for sharing results openly, based on existing tools and systems already used by the IISS.<\/p>\n

2- Review of existing experiences and practices at national and international level that can provide us with different models with a certain degree of development.<\/p>\n

3- Design of the proposed model for an open data system, in accordance with the alternatives promoted at national and international level.<\/p>\n

4- Identification of health research databases that could be incorporated into these systems, prioritising those that could be included in initial pilot projects.<\/p>\n

Expected results<\/strong>: <\/strong><\/span>The project will enable health data to be shared and reused in a secure and structured manner, promoting health research, optimising resources and positioning the Basque Country as a benchmark in open science and data management, all in line with RIS3 policies, responsible innovation and strategic transitions in the health system.<\/p>\n
