The groups carry out research into the development and <strong>innovation<\/strong> of the <strong>best policies, practices and organisational models <\/strong>to be implemented into the national healthcare network.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Over the years, <strong>chronic diseases<\/strong> have become a concern for <strong>political leaders and healthcare researchers<\/strong>, whereby a lack of information has been detected along with the need to <strong>improve the management and organisation of healthcare systems to treat chronic patients<\/strong> in an integrated and focused way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This conference will serve to debate the transition of <strong>research projects<\/strong> when it comes to decision-making for<strong> healthcare planning and organisation<\/strong>, and to enable researchers to exchange ideas, consider new research challenges in health services and discuss future strategies to follow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The conference will be opened by <strong>Dr. Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Quintana<\/strong> <strong>L\u00f3pez,<\/strong> Head of the network&#8217;s scientific coordination and Head of the <strong>OSI Barrualde\u2013Galdakao Research Unit. Susana Garc\u00eda Guti\u00e9rrez<\/strong>, from the <strong>OSI Barrualde\u2013Galdakao Research Unit,<\/strong> will also present the project on which they are working, <strong>CaMISS,<\/strong> related to Research into <strong>Breast Cancer Healthcare Services. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Kronikgune has two groups within REDISSEC<\/strong>, one of which is the <strong>Them<\/strong><strong>atic Network of Cooperative Research (<\/strong><strong>RETIC<\/strong><strong>) coordinated by <\/strong><strong>Dr. Jos\u00e9 M\u00aa Quintana, Head of the OSI Barrualde\u2013Galdakao Research Unit<\/strong><strong>, and Head of Scientific Coordination; and the second group is coordinated by <\/strong><strong>Dr. Antonio Escobar, from OSI Bilbao-Basurto.
