{"id":5517,"date":"2015-12-02T16:31:58","date_gmt":"2015-12-02T16:31:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bio-sistemak.eus\/?p=5517"},"modified":"2015-12-03T09:06:26","modified_gmt":"2015-12-03T09:06:26","slug":"the-pilot-phase-of-the-mastermind-project-has-been-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.bio-sistemak.eus\/en\/the-pilot-phase-of-the-mastermind-project-has-been-launched\/","title":{"rendered":"The pilot phase of the Mastermind project has been launched."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Training of the professionals who will participate in <strong>Mastermind <\/strong>is the launchpad for this intervention, which will roll-out an on-line cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for patients with mild or moderate depression. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mastermind-project.eu\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-4609 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bio-sistemak.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/mastermind-proyecto-europeo-apliacion-ionline-terapia-kronikgune.jpg\" alt=\"mastermind-proyecto-europeo-apliacion-ionline-terapia-kronikgune\" width=\"360\" height=\"236\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.bio-sistemak.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/mastermind-proyecto-europeo-apliacion-ionline-terapia-kronikgune-300x197.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.bio-sistemak.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/mastermind-proyecto-europeo-apliacion-ionline-terapia-kronikgune.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>During October and November 2015, professionals from the organisations participating in <strong>Mastermind<\/strong>, namely <strong>HUA<\/strong> and <strong>Araba Region<\/strong>, <strong>OSI Ezkerraldea Enkarterri Cruces<\/strong>, <strong>OSI Barrualde Galdakao<\/strong>, <strong>OSI Uribe, OSI Donostialdea<\/strong>, the <strong>Bizkaia Mental Health Network, Gipuzkoa Mental Health Network<\/strong>, <strong>Araba Mental Health Network and the Healthcare Advice Service<\/strong>, will be trained in a <strong>new treatment modality<\/strong> for <strong>depression patients<\/strong> based on the on-line therapy \u201c<strong>Beat your depression<\/strong>\u201d. They will also be informed about the protocol and the action protocol defined at these sessions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>Beat your depression<\/strong>\u201d forms part of the European <strong>Mastermind<\/strong> project <strong>funded by the European Commission<\/strong>. The project consortium comprises 23 bodies from different European countries, and a total of 5200 patients are expected to be enrolled amongst all partners.<\/p>\n<p>The contents of the therapy that will be rolled-out in the <strong>Basque Country<\/strong> are the result of a partnership between <strong>Osakidetza<\/strong> and <strong>Kronikgune<\/strong>, along with other Spanish health agencies involved in the project, such as the<strong> Servicio Aragon\u00e9s de la Salud<\/strong>, <strong>Badalona Serveis Assistencials<\/strong> and <strong>Conselleria de Sanidade<\/strong> <strong>de Galicia<\/strong>. The contents of the on-line therapy have been developed and prepared as the result of a collaboration between a group of mental-health experts from these four regions.<\/p>\n<p>The on-line therapy has been designed to\u00a0<strong>provide persons with mild or moderate depression<\/strong>\u00a0with a tool that allows them to learn new strategies to cope with their condition. The <strong>aim<\/strong> is to <strong>modify the behaviour<\/strong>, <strong>thinking<\/strong> and, consequently, <strong>mood of these patients<\/strong>.
